Arsenal want to sign England and Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham.



Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he would be interested in brining the England captain to Highbury should Real Madrid be willing to let him leave.



Speaking in the News of the World, Wenger said: "We will have some money to spend in the summer and if there was a chance to sign David Beckham, we would look at it.



"If the situation arises that it is possible, why not?"



Beckham says that he is happy in Madrid although I’m sure Mrs Beckham wouldn’t mind him moving back to England.



However, I’m not sure Becks would like a return as his relationship with the British press isn’t that great at the moment to say the least.

i think if becks moved to arsenal, he will MAKE all the diffrence, as i think that the teams confident's will improve, as long as we keep all our players (well best players) and also buy a new defender, and a goalkeeper. If reyes leave, we would need a new striker, All the team is missing is experience!!!!! :p

Yeh a agree if we get becks a good central defender to play alongside campbell and a good goalie then we will definitely give chelsea a run for their money. I heard that David Treazaguet wanted to come to Arsenal cos he wanted to play alongside Henry again(like he does in the France Team)!!!

Becks wont even go back to man-u ferguson wont have it. As for arsenal having beckham i dont think it will happen, with reyes going to madrid i think we'll probably end up with owen, previously i heard a rumour that martin jol wouldnt mind signing becks, i duno its all "talk" i wouldnt take any notice. I dont really know where beckham would fit in the team, it would be good to have another english player and would be far more appealing to other english players to get a chance to play in one of the best sides in the premiership and obviously to play with beckham. See what happens aye!

i dont think arsenal could afford becks. and as for becks being on the bench for manu, i dont think there is a great chance of that. they wouldnt spend all that money on him (if they do) and leave him on the bench!!

i think beckhams "greatness" revolves around all the hype, hey he would probably play well at arsenal and i admit it would probably be a great stab at fergie, but i really dont think we want him, id prefer owen out of the two, he's younger, beckham just turned 30 so hes only got another 6-7 years left in him at most.

^We're not dreaming mate, its called a debate over what the press have percieved to be true, it doesnt mean we want him, and there is no saying he wouldnt play for one of the best teams in the premiership and tbh he should be so lucky if he got to play for arsenal.

Yeah he will, i dont doubt he might move in a 1-2 years time though, point is i aint to keen anway, and if we where to even think about it, it wouldnt be the upcoming season it would be the one after as arsenal dont want to splash out this year, next year will be the big one for us and its not like we're doing terrible, it could be worse, could have some american taking over our club ;)

Theres no definate about beckham coming to us, all the rumours are just tabloid blunder, there hasn't been any official quotes its just changing room banter, if it happens it happens but theres not definate about it and there are far better players out there.
